Biking to work = training for the Amgen People's Coast Classic

May is Bike to Work Month!

One of the 2011 Amgen People's Coast Classic riders, Bill Thorness has written a great article titled: Sound Cycling: The No-Pollute Commute. As many of you may know the month of May is Bike to Work Month and if you have never biked to work but have always wanted to get started then Bill's article is an excellent primer covering some key topics, in his own words:
  1. Figuring out my office clothing.

  2. Keeping the bike ready to go.

  3. Getting my lazy butt onto the seat.
One of the other great benefits of riding to work is that it will help you prepare for The Amgen People's Coast Classic ride in September! As we all know, people get busy both spring and summer and sometimes it is hard to train regularly and since many of us have to go to work, why not make it a bit of training time as well and knock out two birds with one stone?

Of course if you don't have to go to work a long way from home i.e. the home office then keep your eye on this blog the next few weeks, as we will be announcing our very popular training ride schedule, where you can come out and enjoy some training with others riding TAPCC.
